Both originally from Michigan, Josh and Libby moved to Prague, Czech Republic to serve long term in January of 2022. At the end of their first year on the field they had their daughter, Zoe.
While a majority of their time in their first two years is dedicated to language learning and cultural acquisition, they are also involved in ministry. By attending regular classes, individual studies and working with language helpers, they strive towards being able to communicate with Czechs in their heart language. Meanwhile, they are investing in their church and building relationships through various activities.
They attend Sunday services as well as are active in a small group and enjoy the church camp (both a retreat and outreach program) during the summer. They both serve at English camps and English weekends. Josh is working with a young Scouts group to develop kids within the church as well as an outreach opportunity. He enjoys connecting with people outside their church through playing hockey. Libby attends a weekly Moms Group at church, and will be helping to start a small group for middle school girls. She has found a community of moms through a workout program that connects her with English speaking women from all over the world.
Together, with the Prague City Team, Josh and Libby strive to bridge the gap between the church, which is isolated, misunderstood and often under-resourced, to the outside community, which has a warped perception of faith.
